Over 10 years ago I was attending a convention in the United States, when I accidentally walked into a workshop that was just about to start. One of the helpers gave me a short workbook and guided me to a seat, it is at such moments that being British and not wanting to cause a fuss, can work to ones advantage.  You see, my mind was going 'tell the young lady you are in the wrong place and just leave', the British side of me was going 'whatever you do don't let them think you are an idiot who has randomly walken into their seminar, shut up sit down and listen…..you might learn something'.
